Whenever I use this eyeliner without an eyeshadow primer, my lash line gets an itching sensation. Therefore, I would not recommend this to anyone with sensitive skin. Besides that one setback it is an excellent liner.

I tried this the other day. It has staying power, I'll give it that. But it was not easy to apply and to me, the applicator doesn't even feel like a brush. More like the tip of a pen - its really harsh. It smells bad too. But the smell fades, and the eyeliner stays so its a decent product.
Got the midnight & black. Been using the midnight pretty regularly. Took a little getting use to at first, because the narrow brush & liquid were getting caught in my lashes- but figured it out & LOVE IT.
I use a thin line for everyday use. I am in the ocean & pool a lot. It stays perfectly. For a night out, I use a little more & distribute it with a separate eyeliner brush.
I haven't had any irritation & am ordering the plum for fall.

I normally buy a well know store brand waterproof eyeliner and this is worth it's weight in gold. Not only does it last, I have oily skin, but you can buy other colors and experiment without breaking the bank.

I bought this product a few months ago and it started clumping after a month and a half, but they've changed the applicator brush and it's 110% better! Clean, precise and great colour! I would totally recommend this product.
This liner has some really cute colors, but it's a little difficult to get a smooth line, and it smells bad.

The first time I bought, it was to try it, but some friends loved it too so I bought more and sold to them :) It's so easy to apply and E.L.F has a very nice price. I would highly recommend that to everybody who wants to try good make up.

When I use the liner to go dancing, at the end of a sweaty night, my liner is as fresh as it was when I first put it on! The smell is a little weird, but I totally recommend this product! I also use it for work all day, and it doesn't smudge or fade.
wow!! this is so much better than the stuff you get at your local drug store and for much much less money!! i love it!the only con about it is the liquid does tend to peel off but only when you wear it longer than 8 hours.
I'm not a fan of liquid eyeliner but this one is pretty good! I bought plum, and it's not very plum-like but still very pretty nonetheless. I found that it stays on very well.

It's okay but it smells funny (kinda like a marker). but the color is very intense. good for the price. and it lasts long. i guess i'll get used to the smell. coz other than that it is fabulous!

I love liquid liner and bright colors so I decided to give this one a try. It doesn't smell too great, but that isn't a big deal to me. I really like the color (I have it in Plum) but I don't use primer, so the liner sort of beaded up and looked watery when I put it on. I had to put on two coats to make it look like one smooth line and the stuff took a while to dry, whereas with more expensive liners (I use Revlon Telescopic, which isn't even THAT expensive) you only need one coat and it dries quickly. I'd recommend this if you are a casual user of liquid liner and are patient with makeup application.
This is really easy to apply and it stays on forever! I tried it in coffee and it looks really pretty. My only complaint is the smell.

I have a very light pale skin tone (Like Conan O'Brien!), but I decided to buy some liquid eyeliner anyway for when I go all out on my eyes. I bought the coffee and plum colors and both look great on me!
The coffee is a little darker than portrayed, but still a nice, matte brown. Plum was a more vibrant and shiny shade that perfectly matched my purple shirts. I'd say they make good day and night shades for any skin tone, since I had a bunch of my friends try them too.
The only problems I had were getting them off (either a full shower works or some remover) and the weird smell while they're still wet. Mine smelled a bit light chemical and fresh garlic. But once they dry fully, the smell goes away and doesn't irritate my sensitive eyes at all.
I was impressed with the color pay off.
The solution is very watery though, so you have to add two coats.
Drying time is a bit long, and it smells pretty bad.
A little complicated to remove... it clumps off like glue would during removal... so becareful for those tiny bits falling into your eye.
Not sure if all the cons are worth the color pay off though...

I'm hard to impress and for a dollar, this eyeliner is definitely worth it. One of the best liquid eyeliners i've used, easy to apply and long lasting. It does tend to flake if you leave it on for more than twelve hours but then again, thats no surprise. The eyeliner and applicator itself is excellent but the smell is quite pungent. Comparable to high end brands of makeup and surpasses your regular drug store brand expectations.

I am not sure that I am using this properly, but it seems that as soon as it is on...it is off again. I does not glide on as smooth as I would have expected. I love all of the ELF products up until this point...I would still try other things that I don't have but I was a little disappointed with this product.
Such a good find at such a low price. I've got the midnight blue and the brown. Both fabulous. I can't imagine using anything else.

At first I didn't like this. It smells AWFUL and feels weird when it's drying. However, once applied correctly and left to dry, it looks fabulous!
I got many compliments about my eyes when wearing it, and it didn't irritate my fairly-sensitive eyes or cause any problems with my contact lenses. It seems easier to apply than pencils and doesn't drag at the eyelid.
I have it in Ash and Black, and I'd agree with the sentiment that Ash is more blue-grey than black-grey. My eyes are green so Ash doesn't really suit them, but the Black really makes my eyes stand out and look great.
I don't wear makeup for more than 8 hours max at a time so I can't comment on longetivity, but it seems to hold up fine for the time I do wear it. Removal is a little tricky but no more difficult than waterproof mascara.
If you haven't tried liquid eyeliner before, give it a go. If you have, you'll know whether it's for you or not!

This was a pretty good product. It was really easy to apply, though on my skin looked more blue than grey(I bought Ash)and it smelled a little strange, but It was still pretty good.
I love this liner. I always use waterproof liquid liner because I tend to get oily and sometimes my eyes water for no reason. I noticed some people say that it clumps or flakes off, well that's because you didn't put a base on like your eyeshadow on first, or if you touch your eyes, then it WILL come off. I hate the smell though. When things smell like that I usually throw it away or bury it. I think I can safetly say that it is pretty close to the MAC waterproof liquid liners.

I was really excited to try the eyeliner because it got pretty good reviews but I was pretty disappointed. The first thing I noticed was the strong chemical smell from the eyeliner. Not pleasant.
Also, the eyeliner does not go on smoothly! I think the consistency may be too thin and so it's watery and you have to apply several coats. The smell makes this process quite painful.
I like the colors but that's about it.

This smells horrible. It's bad enough to make me not want to use it.
It does its job of being waterproof but yuckkk.
DESCRIPTION: wet product goes on with "stick", dries vinyl-like. Does not smudge while worn. When rubbed/washed, it peels/flakes right off! No irritation to eye if enters eye.
TIPS: If accidentally applied incorrectly and dries, remove with q-tip and re-do! Works best as a rich liner, so don't go expecting sheer colors. Those of you complaining of creasing, are you wiping off all the product off you applicator? Leave plenty on the applicator, and use just a little pressure to get a thinner line.
TO REMOVE: I just use good 'ol soap and water over my eyelid...it peels right off.
Okay, so I wear eyeliner everyday at work. I have oily skin, and when I work 24-30 hour shifts, other eyeliners (incl mac) would smear, making my undereyes look dark.
THIS PRODUCT IS GREAT!! I've been using it for 2 months now, and when I go home, my eyeliner's as good as new. I can sometimes wash my face at work and if I avoid touching the eyes, the eyeliner'll stay on.

I bought Ash and Plum, and it looks fantastic - it is easy to put on and it lasts ALL DAY. I find though that at the end of the day the makeup takes a while to get off. Regardless I plan on buying some other colours in the near future!
This DOESN"T smudge. It sort of "flakes" off wich I prefer. Also, I am a fair skin blonde and would have never thought to wear plum, but it looks so good with some of my more pinkish eye shadows.

I love the way it goes on. If I need to correct my line it is easy to do while the liner is still wet, but once it drys watch out. It clumps on my lashes if I've put too much on and then it tugs the lashes when you try to get it off. A light hand is best when applying.

This is the easiest liner I've EVER used. I have a cataract in my right so that vision is very blurry/way less than good. This liner is so easy to use I do not have to pull at my good eye to apply it and it looks great and lasts great! Thank you,
This liquid eyeliner is worth it for [$] but the odor was very bad...and ususally I can handle strong scent but this scent made me gag....the product glide on very well and stayed on all day so i was happy with that but the tip was kind of stiff...overall worth [$] if you can pass the smell
This was really easy to apply, but it was flaking off. Not good in the eye area.
It's too bad becasue I really like the smokey gray color
This isn't too bad of a liner. The hard brush makes it easy for a fairly smooth application, making it easier to create a thin, straight line. However, it smells really bad! It almost makes you not even want to use it, but, i still like the product.

I love this stuff! Easy to put on, doesn't go away, great for a little more dramatic look than a pencil eyeliner!
I was excited to see that it had a hard tip instead of a brush. Its good but I prefer the brush the tip. This stuff SMELLS!!! Smells don't usually bother me but this stuff smells like terpintine strongly. I have never had any makeup irritate my skin before but this stuff stings until it is dry. It is long lasting and easy to apply. I like the product but I will have to use it a little longer before I think I will buy it again. I probably won't.

The brush does not glide smoothly as described and soon became lumpy. It really is waterproof and smudge-proof, because it dries up like erm... nail polish or paint? where removing can be done by just peeling off... -.-
It may not be a totally bad product but doesn't works long for me... Have and is currently using better brands...

Ok i was kinda scared to use lquid eyeliner at first then i got all 5 eyeliner it was so easy to apply really really waterproff and i will recomend this to anyone

I like this product. The eyeliner goes on smooth, doesn't glob onto your eyes like other, more expensive, products. They only thing I would suggest is to improve the smell. It has a very odd, slightly unpleasant smell.

I ordered all of the colors and while the colors themselves are great, the brush was too stiff in some of the colors and way too long in others. also, the bristles of the brushes that were softer separated within a few uses and after a few MINUTES the eyeliner flaked...when that happened I decided to wash it off, thinking that it would be easy but I was wrong. It took so long to get off. While I wanted to like this eyeliner, I couldn't... there just seemed to be too many things wrong with them.
I was a little bit skeptical of this product at first. I have tried liquid eyeliner before, but I have never found a brand that worked for me. Some would be too hard to apply, wouldn't come off after scrubbing, or irritate my skin. But this is perfect for me. It is super easy to get on, it doesn't burn, and comes off easily when I wash my face. It stays on all day long too! I don't wear this everyday, but it is great for when going out. I was pleasantly surprised!
I am a big fan of experimenting with different make-up. I have used lots of eyeliners, pencil and liquid. This is not a very good one for long use, however, if your going out for a couple hours, its great.
One thing that happened to me though, is after like two uses, the bristles of the brush started to seperate (making it impossible to use the liner again) and pretty soon I had to throw it away.
At the start, it worked perfectly. It wasn't that difficult to apply although the pen was too long and soft. But it lasted me from morning till night. But after a few uses, it couldn't last me anymore. Less than just half a day my eyes got flaky and there were visable small patches. But its quality for price.
I got these in Black & Midnight, but also was sent Ash & Plum. I did notice that the ash has a brush and it says waterproof liquid eyeliner. While the other three are liquid eyeliner. Its does fade out. When I get to the outer corner I have to dip in to get more product. They have a funny smell to them. The colors are really nice. At the end of the day/night when it was time to remove the eyeliner. Was surprised that it was kind of difficult to remove. Would def. buy these again. Plus I was surprised that it didn't irritate my eyes. I have sensitive eyes and I'm forced to buy expensive brands. Thought maybe my eyes have gotten better in time. Like I said it was good on my eyes and didn't irritate them.

First off, I was expecting FOUR liners, and only got one (ASH)... Ash is actually a really black color. But after about five to ten minutes after application, it started chipping. So I recommend carrying it around in your purse for re-application 'cause it's worth it.

I've never really liked liquid eyeliner, but thought that I would give this one a try. I ordered Midnight, and I've had nothing but problems so far. First off, I look like I'm wearing Halloween makeup. Plus, the color is incredibly bright, not at all like the picture. And if that's not enough, the brush makes application difficult. All in all, I would not recommend this product, unless you're going to a costume party.
I love the color, but the brush is too hard. It goes on good, and lasts long! Must have a steady hand.
I have used black liquid for years. Goes on easy, stays put, (in fact I find it hard to remove even with eye makeup remover!)
Cons: smells a little funny to me.

I have not worn eyeliner for years -- as I get older it is too stark and my I don't see well. This goes on smoothly and easily. I have had numerous compliments. I am ordering all of the colors.

I got the eyeliner in Ash and LOVE the color. Application is easy but it flakes a little. What got me is that it goes on like paint. I normally use liquid eyeliner and put on a lot and then take a wet q-tip and remove some until I get my desired look. I tried to do that with this and it didn't work!
May have been my fault for not seeing the 'waterproof' in the description.
i love this stuff! i'm constantly trying out new liquid liners b/c i'm a junkie and i must say that this stuff really impressed me - it really does not budge, move, crease, is waterproof, etc. the only downsize i found was the smell + the brush being just a little too long + soft (i would have liked it a little shorter + firmer)
but all in all, a GREAT product + a killer deal!!!

Pros- The colors are practical and once you have applied it, it stays on for hours. Also, unlike other liquid liners that i have used, it flakes off and makes removal very easy- i dab a bit of lotion on my eyes and it rubs off easily.
Cons- The brush is not sturdy and applying it on your eyes takes longer for me then usual. I think that a felt tip would be have been better.
This is the only product that i wasn't thrilled with. However, everything else that i order was wonderful- the mineral starter kit and eyeshadows are really worth it.
I loved this until the lid broke off from the brush part. I was away for the week-end and didn't have a replacement. Tried using it anyway, but it was a mess... only had used it a few times... oh well...
It seemed very thick to me, and as soon as it dried I got something on my face, blotted with a towel and It started flaking off. I won't be using this product again.
Good if you're wearing everyday to the office. Won't budge. Use it outside to the pool or on the lake, and forget it. Flakes badly. In fact, at the pool, I had half the eyeliner on my eyes, and a line of purple eyeliner on my cheek. Not pretty.
The purple is a good color to replace black for everyday office use. Really makes your eyes pop.

Hard to put on. Liquid is thin and brush is hard. I had to make several sweeps to get the color even. After wearing a couple hours the color started to flake off.
I love liquid eyeliners. This one is very easy to apply. Brush goes on easily and with one application. Getting it off is difficult but since I don't use this everyday it does't bother me too much.
Easy to apply and lasts all day but not so easy to remove.

Aside from the horrible smell the product is not too bad. Just be prepared to wear it for a couple days

I can admit that I am a makeup junkie, (isn't that the first step? ;) I have 2 toddlers and I LOVE makeup so it is my escape, my art, my other love.
I can never find the right shade of grey liquid liner though, and I kid you not I've tried every single one Sephora carries (there aren't that many, unfortunately). Some were close, Lancome, Urban Decay, Tarte...but ELF's Ash liner is my true love! FINALLY!!!

It is easy to apply and looks great for a few a minutes before it starts to peel off. I used it once and only once and now it is in my trash.
this stuff was pretty sweet, but it faded in no time.
plum is very pretty
Liquid is a little thin, and the "brush" is too hard.

I would not buy this again. The brush makes it particularly difficult to apply, and when you do, it peels off. Not what I was expecting from e.l.f.

I've gone through a lot of liquid eyeliners trying to find the "perfect one" and let me tell you...this is one of the best one I've tried. There color are great, but I would love a gray one. The only real con I have is that the eyeliner clumps a little sometimes and it flakes a little as well. Over all I think it's a great product. Especially compared to the AVON one that actually burned my eye.

This is not (by far) the best liquid liner I have used. The applicator is difficult to use and the product flakes off very easily.

as a makeup artist, i generally reserve liquid liner use for when i desire a bold, edgy effect. otherwise, i simply use a moistened lip brush dipped in shadow. when i use a liquid liner it's usually because i want to create a bold effect with an eye-popping color (excuse the pun). this is a great product as far as practicality is concerned, but maybe you guys could release it in bold, bright colors?

This product looks great when all the stars align! I have had more problems with the applicator than anything else. One applicator started falling apart hair by hair. Another applicator was completely hard. Elf took care of these problems by crediting my account. The black and the grey look wonderful, so I am hoping that the colors I reordered look as wonderful and the problems with the applicators don't continue to happen. Occasionally, especially if you put the eyeliner on thick, it will peel up (which looks really tacky.) I go with a thiner line which has less of a tendency to peel
